Test Results...All went well with my colonoscopy yesterday. No problems and the results were fine. John was a wonderful nurse. I slept almost nonstop from 2pm yesterday until 7am today. Wild dreams! Anesthesia does that to you, I guess...

Some Miscellaneous Cute Pictures...

Jacob's 100th day of school and Julia cooking with Mom

Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow...I was starting to despair that we would never experience a really snowfall while living in NY. We've been here almost 2 yrs and ZIP, NADA, NOTHIN'. We have had a gorgeous, fluffy snowfall ALL day. It has been so fabulous. Granted, we only have around 2-3 inches right now but I'll take it. John and Julia got out to make snow angels, throw snowballs and generally stomp around in the almost 1 inch of snow this afternoon. Then Jacob followed suit after school. The grand finale occurred while I was fixing dinner. I do know that John managed to have massive snow fall down upon his head as his son was trying to shovel the porch...burrrrrrr......

Spanish class for Jacob was cancelled so we finished off with some yummy homemade Spaghetti Carbonara and a competitition of Wii with Jacob trying to beat both of his parents in whatever game came up.

It was a good day!

Chinese New Year...Thursday was the celebration of the Chinese New Year at Jacob's school. They made darling chinese lanterns and brought home chopsticks, a chinese takeout carton, and various other chinese items. Jacob wants to make chinese lanterns for the rest of his family so we can have a parade...ha! After he got home from school, he decided we should have takeout chinese food for dinner so he could use his chopsticks. So we did! Cute!

Playdate...Julia and I went over to her friend, Mattias, house after school for a playdate. They had a lot of fun and played very well together. Julia and Mattias became immediate friends at the beginning of the school year. They aren't in the same class or even in the same building. But both of them have very outgoing personalities so they struck up a friendship walking to and from school to our cars. Now, Mattias waits outside for her everyday and they hug and hold hands. It is very cute.

Ground Hog Watch...First thing this morning, the kid's were on Ground Hog watch and much dismayed by the news of 6 more weeks of winter. Darn that Punxsutawney Phil! Our watch was joined by a guest for the weekend...Clifford, the Big Red Dog. Each weekend, a child in Julia's class gets to bring home a large Clifford stuffed animal and the family writes in a journal about what Clifford did with the family all weekend. This is Julia's weekend and she is VERY excited about Clifford being our guest. We'll see how she reacts when we have to take him back to school on Monday...
