Mass at Notre Dame, the area of Notre Dame where we lit a candle for Ma Honey, Joan of Arc, beautiful stained glass inside the cathedral, the singers at mass.

John and Nikki on the boatride, the Statue of Liberty in France, the Eiffel Tower at night, and Notre Dame at night

Aux Trois Mailletz is the piano bar where we hung out a couple of nights, the flower market near our hotel, Rue Cler is a main pedestrian shopping street where we bought shoes, the backside of Notre Dame, and the Prefecture de Police which is the first building taken back by the French when the Germans were occupying France.

The Louvre Museum on the Seine River, the Pyramid Courtyard on our bicycle tour at the Louvre.

The fountain at St. Michel, a beautiful cafe along the Seine that had fabulous paintings on the outside of the building, the front view of Notre Dame, the Senate building, and a statue of Charles de Gaulle.

Luxembourg Gardens the day we arrived (exhausted). We layed out in the lawn, drank wine, and dozed until our hotel room was ready.
The flowers on the building are the view from our second hotel (www.hotelatlantis-sg.com).
Les Deux Magots (www.lesdeuxmagots.fr) is a cafe that we ate at that is famous because Ernest Hemingway wrote there and has initials carved into one of the tables.

Bonjour!...Back from Paris and had a wonderful time. I kept pinching myself the whole time I was there. John and I saw a lot of sites but not everything we wanted since we ran out of time. But what we saw was more magnificent that what I could have imagined on my own. We played A LOT, slept, and just did a little of everything. The food was great! My favorite parts were the Fat Tire Bicycle Tour which took us all over Paris and ended with a night time boatride on the Seine River. That was amazing! We met folks from Columbia, New Zealand, and Texas. I also loved going to evening mass at Notre Dame. We evening got to light a candle for Ma Honey. So many great memories! Can't wait to go back (after I rest up...ha!...we're not in college anymore).

Secret Revealed...After a few days of clues, John revealed yesterday that he is taking me to Paris, on Tuesday for 4 days. I just cannot believe it! I am so excited! We will be staying at the Hotel le Recamier in the heart of the Latin Quarter on the Left Bank (Rive Gauche) in Paris. I found a picture online of it... I just keep pinching myself and trying to wrap my mind around the fact that in 4 days I will be in Paris. My mom is coming on Monday to keep the kids while we are gone so it will be fun for everyone. I will be sure to take lots of pictures! I've got to practice up on some of my french phrases so I can at least ask where the bathroom is...ha!
