First Week...We finished a very successful first week of school for Jacob. He is really enjoying it so far and looks forward to going each day. Julia got to go meet her teachers for Pre-K on Friday. She was so excited to be there. It was like a race horse leaving the starting gate...ha! Here are are couple of pictures of her in her classroom and playing blocks with a couple other classmates.
Last night we went to the Back to School Bash at our neighborhood pool. We met up with our friends, Amy and Lance, and the kids all splashed around in the pool. There was a nice turnout of people without it being to crowded. Our Homeowners Assoc. provided pizza, ice cream sandwiches, a dj, and games/contests. It was a hoot to see all the kids out there dancing. Of course, John and I commented on how old we felt since we didn't know any of the music. You know it is sad when we get excited that we recognize the Twist, the Macarena, and finally an old AC/DC song. Ha! Not to mention the music was way too loud...how sad we are! But the evening was a lot of fun.
After we got the kids to bed, John and I enjoyed watching the OSU football game we had recorded earlier in the day. I made through about half of the game and then my eyes started slamming shut. Again...sad.
My sister, Teresa, and my nephew, Trevor, are coming into town today from visiting my Dad and Diane down in Fredericksburg, TX. They are going to spend the night before heading home to OKC tomorrow. Should be a fun-filled day!
